Poppy Meal The dry material remaining once the oil is expelled from the seed. This product makes an excellent agricultural fertiliser and is certified by NASSA as an organic input. It is available in bulk only. The product is high in protein but is once again not suitable for stock or human consumption due to residue alkaloid. Canola Meal The high protein meal which is left once the oil is expelled from the seed is sold in bulk, one ton or 25kg bags to Tasmanian livestock producers. The meal retains up to 12% oil which gives it a higher energy level than solvent extracted meals. Protein is around 36% in the beautifully golden coloured meal.
